Studios at 625 Trade Street Holiday Window including Santa

This is probably the fastest portrait that I have ever done!  I spent roughly 4 hours painting it with pastels and just did it for fun to have in the studio holiday window.  Then, I framed it in a used frame from the Junior League rummage sale.  As it turned out, the general public that came into the studio space seemed to really love Santa.  Perhaps the lesson is to not sweat over portraits, or perhaps the lesson is that everyone loves Santa!  At any rate, Santa was recently sold at the Whimsical Women art show in Pfafftown, NC a few weeks ago.  His new owner was removing her wedding portrait from an easel in the living room to give him a new home.  What greater compliment could I receive than that?
